For the last 6 or so months I have had the privilege of riding the new Stumpjumper FSR EVO. After being on the regular Stumpjumper FSR for a little over a year I knew the EVO was gonna be a little more of what I wanted out of my Cross country bike.
As most of you know my true passion is Downhill, but around here the shuttle trails are few and far between. Having a Cross Country bike is mandatory around here.
The EVO for me is a bike that does it all really well. With a slack head tube of 67 degrees I feel extremely comfortable on it descending and hitting drops and jumps. With 150mm of travel you would expect a bike to be in the 30lb range.
Many bikes now are coming in light weight and still have 150mm of travel. My personal bike comes in at 26.8 lbs. with a Gamut single ring, Sram 10spd, Dropper post, and Traverse EL Wheel set.
